VPN & Privacy Researcher · Independent VPN testing since 2021

I've tested 40+ VPNs from Shanghai, Istanbul and Berlin since 2021 — paid accounts only, no free review units. I focus on real-world speed, streaming catalogs, kill-switch reliability, and whether no-logs claims hold up against public audits. Every ranking on this site follows those results — not commission rates.

How I test

Tools and cadence I use for every VPN review:

  • Ookla and iPerf3 for speed samples
  • Three test rounds per server
  • Monthly re-test cycle
  • Live Netflix catalog checks
  • Live BBC iPlayer checks where relevant
  • Kill-switch and DNS leak probes on desktop apps
